Gonzalo Rodriguez was born in Sevilla (Spain). He starts playing guitar at 14 and some years later, encouraged by the Belgian pianist Raphaël Debacker, he decided to attend the jazz guitar class at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel. He has the opportunity of study with Peter Hertmans, John Ruocco, Fabien Degryse…beside jazz guitar he studied classical guitar and afro-Cuban music. He graduated in 2010. Actually, he leads the Zola Quartet, for which he composes, and he performs in different bands as Sarah so far or RCA Latin jazz.
